Plug and Play Hot Tubs
Hot tubs that run on a standard household outlet
A plug and play hot tub plugs into a standard 110 V household outlet, so it needs no specialized electrical preparation. Arctic Spas offers Plug ’N Play on select models: hot tubs up to 7 feet with one pump.
What plug and play means
Most hot tubs are hard-wired to a dedicated 240 V circuit that an electrician installs before delivery. A plug and play model skips that step: it uses a standard 110 V plug-in.
On Arctic Spas spec sheets the 110 V configuration is one pump on a 15 amp breaker, drawing 12 amps. The same models wired for 240 V use a 40 to 60 amp breaker, depending on the number of pumps.
Which Arctic Spas models can be plug and play
The factory rule is one pump and a hot tub of 7 feet or less. These current models are within that size and list a 110 V option on their spec sheet:
The one-pump setup is the Prestige jet package (20 jets, 1 pump). Your showroom confirms the exact configuration for the model you choose.

Common questions
Does a plug and play hot tub need an electrician?
No specialized electrical preparation is needed: Plug ’N Play models use a standard 110 V household outlet.
Can any Arctic Spas hot tub be plug and play?
No. Plug ’N Play is available on models up to 7 feet with one pump. Larger hot tubs, multi-pump jet packages and swim spas are wired for 240 V.
Can I take a plug and play hot tub with me when I move?
Yes. Because it plugs into a standard outlet, it can be moved to a new home without new electrical work.
