Arctic Spas Ontario

Our Process

From first look to first soak, in five steps

Buying a hot tub or swim spa from Arctic Spas Ontario takes five steps: explore the range, visit a showroom, build your order, complete a site check, and take delivery. Here is what happens at each one and what we need from you.

  1. 01

    Explore

Start here. Browse the hot tubs and swim spas, turn any model around in its 3D builder, or answer four questions and let the quiz suggest a model.

This stage is meant to be enough for many people to know what they want before they talk to anyone.

  2. 02

    Visit a showroom

See the spas in person in Kitchener, London or Windsor. A specialist answers your questions and goes through pricing, which we do not publish on this site.

All three showrooms offer swim tests, so you can try a spa in the water before you decide.

Bring a rough idea of where the spa will go and who will use it. If you have an old tub to replace, mention it now — see trade-in and removal.

  3. 03

    Build your order

Every Arctic Spa is built to order. You choose the series, the jet package, the shell and cabinet colours, water care such as salt water, and extras like lighting and a cover lifter.

If the spa is not already in stock, we place the order with the factory and schedule a delivery date with you.

  4. 04

    Site check

We email you a Site Check form. It takes a tape measure and a few photos, and it is what makes delivery day uneventful. It covers:

    • The path in. The narrowest width of the gate and the path beside your house, any steps, slopes or tight turns, and obstructions such as air conditioners and meters. Most spas need 44 inches of clearance.
    • Overhead clearance. At least 10 feet the whole way: think wires, branches, eaves and awnings.
    • Where the spa will sit. A flat, compact, level surface. A deck or balcony must meet building code for the load.
    • Electrical. A standard hot tub needs a dedicated 240 V circuit on a GFCI breaker, installed by your electrician before delivery. Plug and play models use a household outlet.
  5. 05

    Delivery and setup

Our delivery team brings the spa in along the path you measured and sets it in place. We recommend the wiring enters through the side of the spa; if it has to come up through the floor, your electrician needs to be there on delivery day.

We follow up after delivery to make sure everything is working the way it should.

Common questions

How much room does a hot tub need to get into my backyard?

Most spas need 44 inches of clearance to get through gates and between houses and fences, and 9 to 10 feet of overhead clearance to be moved into place.

What does a hot tub need to sit on?

A flat, compact, level surface. Decks and balconies must be built to code and able to support the weight of the filled spa.

Do I need an electrician?

For a standard hot tub, yes: it needs a dedicated 240 V circuit on a GFCI breaker, installed before delivery. Plug and play models run on a standard household outlet.

Can I try a hot tub before I buy?

Yes. All three showrooms — Kitchener, London and Windsor — offer swim tests, so you can try a spa in the water first.

Can you take away my old hot tub?

Yes. Our delivery team can remove it when your new spa arrives. It must be drained, and an electrician must disconnect the wire first.
